Desarro to Play in New York Collegiate Baseball League

Anthony Desarro has signed on to play for the Sherril Silversmiths of the  New York Collegiate Baseball League. He will be the first Cazenovia player ever to play in the competitive NYCBL.

The Sherrill team is currently coached by former Cazenovia College pitching coach Ben Grimm (2007) who is currently the Hamilton College pitching coach after a  tenure at Davis & Elkins.  Former Wildcat, and two-year team captain, Joe Pallone '10 is an assistant coach for Sherrill and the pitching coach for Onondaga CC.

Cazenovia head baseball coach Pete Way is, "proud of Anthony for putting in the hard work to earn a spot on such a selective team, and could not think of a better example of a student-athlete to represent the Cazenovia College community".

The team is made up of players currently playing at the college level, representing NCAA division I, II, and III colleges and universities. The Silversmiths play a 47 game regular season with home games at Noyes Park in Sherrill, NY.
