Wildcats Roll over Abington

The Wildcats improve to 5-4 overall (4-0 NEAC) after defeating Penn State Abington 22-2.

12 different players found the back of the net in the Wildcat win.  The beautiful day was made that much sweeter as Josh McCrae (Oswego, NY), Ben McCarthy (Duanesburg, NY), and Alex Iannicello (Warners, NY) each scored their first collegiate goals. Brent Brearley (Vestal, NY), TJ Shaw (Tully, NY), Taylor Hastrich (Horseheads, NY) tallied 3 goals a piece, while Cory Tilton (Central Square, NY), Dylan West (Hauppauge, NY), and Tim Mellon (Temple, NH) each netted two.  Importantly, the Wildcats shared the ball all day, resulting in a combined 19 total assists.
Due to the Wildcats' stellar defense in the first half, anchored by Iannicello, Sean Ward (Truxton, NY), and Zach Gerald (North Syracuse, NY), net minding duties were easily accomplished by Pat Boyle (Syracuse), who finished the afternoon with 5 saves.  Also contributing in defensive play were Matt Carson (Stratford, CT) and Jake Nash (Cazenovia, NY).
The Wildcats next opponent, Wells College, travels to Cazenovia College next Saturday (4/14) when the seniors look to continue perfection in the conference before they celebrate senior day.
