Women's Lacrosse and Softball Teams Earn Spot in Playoff

The Cazenovia College women's lacrosse and softball teams are being rewarded for their strong regular seasons, by earning berths in their respective conference tournaments.

The women's lacrosse team finished third in the conference, and as the third seed in the tournament the Wildcats will take on rival Morrisville in the first round. Cazenovia looks to avenge an 8-3 loss to the Mustangs in the regular season. While Keuka College will serve as tournament host, all games will be played at Penn Yan Academy. The Wildcats and Mustangs will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night, with the winner playing in the NEAC Championship on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The softball team earned a four seed in the NEAC tournament, and will be taking on tournament host (and number one seed) Keuka College in first round action on Friday. The Wildcats fell to Keuka in all four games in the regular season, but are looking to pull off the upset en route to a NEAC Championship. The tournament is double elimination and the first game for the Wildcats will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Regardless of the outcome, Cazenovia will play their second game at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
