Wildcats Continue to Slide

Lancaster, NY - The Cazenovia College women's basketball team could not complete their comeback attempt in a 46-40 loss to Lancaster Bible. Despite poor shooting and turnovers, the Chargers (6-8 overall, 6-4 NEAC) played well down the stretch and hit key free throws to stop the Wildcats' (5-9 (4-3 NEAC) comeback attempt.

Cazenovia's Megan Pomarico's (Poughkeepsie, NY) layup with 4:28 left to play, put the Wildcats ahead 40-36. After Lancaster Bible sunk two free throws to bring the Chargers back with in two, they nailed a 3-pointer with 3:11 left to give the Chargers their first lead since the 11:24 mark.

LBC made five of six free throws down the stretch to seal the win and though it wasn't pretty, it was a win and important one at that.

Pomarico would lead the Wildcats with 14 points while Megan McDermott (Greene, NY) would chip in with 12.

The Wildcats take on Penn State Berks on Sunday at 3:00pm.
