Lauren Pacelli is entering
her second season as the head coach for the Cazenovia College
women's soccer program.
Pacelli, an Auburn, NY native, served as an assistant coach
in 2008 for the women’s soccer program at Norwich University
in Northfield, VT, where she attended college after graduating from
Cayuga Community College in 2005 as the women’s soccer
all-time leading scorer. As an assistant coach, she helped guide
the Cadets soccer team to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference
(GNAC) regular season and tournament championships, as well as the
NCAA National Tournament.
During her playing days at Cayuga, Pacelli captained the 2004 team
and was a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America
(NSCAA) Northeast Regional All-American. She was voted first team
all-conference by the Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) in 2003
and 2004 and was the 2004 MSAC Player of the Year. Pacelli was also
a Region III second team selection in 2004 and honorable mention in
2003. She played soccer at Norwich for two seasons and was the team
captain in 2007.
Pacelli is also the head coach for the women's lacrosse program at
Cazenovia.
